Pedestrian left critical after head-on collision

A man, believed to be in his late 20s, was left critically injured this morning after a head-on collision on Turley Road in Lonehill, Gauteng.
ER24 paramedics, along with another service, arrived on the scene and found the vehicles on the side of the road. A man, who had been cutting grass on the side of the road, lay next to one of the vehicles.
Paramedics assessed the man and found that he had sustained numerous injuries and was in a critical condition.
The man was immediately treated for his injuries and provided with advanced life support interventions. Once treated, the man was transported to a private hospital for further treatment.
One driver, a man, was assessed and found to have sustained moderate injuries. He was treated and transported by another service to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
It is understood that two light motor vehicles had collided head-on. One of the vehicles then crashed into the man while he was mowing the outside lawn.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
