Teen dances her way to success

When Zeldine Voss was asked to make up the numbers of a dance group in 2014, she never imagined that she would be dancing her way to success in the years to come. The 13-year-old dancer began her dancing journey at Losberg
Primary School and joined Anna -marie Dance School in Fochville. She has been practising hard to reach perfection and was soon competing on the international stage. After qualifying at the trials of the Fine Arts Association in
Stilfontein, she went through to the semifinals and won the finals in 2014, 2015 and 2016. She performed in
the Grand Prix and took home a trophy and crown before going to Namibia from 5 to 12 July. ‘Dancing is my talent
and I want it to be my career in the future; I like the moves and I have fun,’ she said enthusiastically. Zeldine sees herself travelling to far places like the United States of America. Her message to other young dancers is that whatever they do, they should do it out of the heart. ‘My goal is to be a star and, if you want to do so, you have to aim for the moon. We wouldn’t be here if God didn’t have something in store for us,’ she says. Her next aim is to raise the
funds to go to Barcelona at the end of March next year. Zeldine’s mum is very proud the young dancer and is full of praise for the teachers who helped to design the outfits and walk with her daughter on her journey to stardom.
