A total of 16 u/13 golf teams from all over the country participated in the nation u/13

According to OD’s father, Ockie Brits, weather conditions at the championship were, however, very unpleasant. One the second day of the event a wind of 50 kilometres
per hour blew and disrupted play.
Although the Northwest team was in the leading position for the first two days, Central Gauteng however beat them on the last day with just five shots.
Three team members however managed to rank within the top ten of this age category.
Stefano Marchetti came second, the team’s captain, Rorisang Nkosi came fifth and OD tenth.

OD Brits from Carletonville obtained a tenth ranking out of the 90 best golf players in his age category in the country.
