Business robbery at Wedela

A business robbery took place at Wedela on 1 November around 09:00. The shop owner Tamana Tumeso who was at the shop during the attack told the Herald that while he was inside his shop a group came and suddenly opened the butler which was not locked at the time. Apparently 7 men came inside the shop and only one was masked. They then hit the shop owner in the face with a firearm and ransacked the counter. They took R9 000, airtime as well as cigarettes. An employee who works in the kitchen managed to inform the police and due to their immediate response, one of the suspects who was in possession of 9mm firearm was caught hiding in the toilet and arrested.
