Third Carletonville half marathon around the corner

The third Carletonville Half Marathon is around the corner, providing an ideal opportunity for residents who have living healthier on their list of New Year’s resolutions.
Those who want to get fit for this event still have about a month-and-a-half to get themselves in shape.
Just like last year, the run will take place in March.
This year, it will be on Sunday the 11th.
In addition to a 21 km half-marathon, runners can also choose the shorter 10 km run while those who are less fit, can take part in the five-kilometre fun run to get some extra exercise.
The event will start and finish at the Carletonville Sports Complex.
According to the organiser, Musa Zulu, entry will be free for schools that enter teams of at least five runners this year.
‘We are doing this to scout for talent and motivate our community to get fitter,’ Zulu says.
Online pre-entries can be done at while late entries can also be done on the morning of the race, which will start at 07:00. Those who book early for the 21- and 10 km races will receive T-shirts. There will also be prize money and medals for the winners.
