Numerous runners from the Merafong City Local Municipality area took part in the Great Brick Run hosted by the Berts Bricks Athletics Club in Potchefstroom last Saturday.
What makes this race unique is the fact that the first 100 runners who pick up a brick at the 21,1 km turning point at
the Berts Bricks factory and take it with them to the end of the race each received a six-pack of beer.

A member of Fochville Marathon Club, Olebile Pule, was one of the locals who tackled the race. He is one of the runners who have been part of the Fochville Club for the longest time. He has been a member since 1997.
