March against bad municipal service

According to one of the organizers of the march, the deputy secretary of Sanco in the West Rand, Mr Sipho Dlamini, members of this and other community organisations are unhappy about the poor municipal service delivery, water cuts without notice, the fact that roads are not properly maintained, the regular sewage spills, unattended sinkholes and the fact that street lights are not being maintained. They are also fed-up with water meters for indigents that, Sanco claims, were installed in a biased way.
The marchers are also unhappy about the municipal rates that are too high and a lack of job creation.
The march will start at the Oberholzer taxi rank at 09:00.
According to Dlamini, anyone who also feels unhappy about the municipal service is welcome to join in the action.
