Woman’s body found tied up

According to the communications officer of the police in Carletonville, WO Peter Masooa, a member of the public called the police at around 16:45 on the afternoon of 31 August to say that a body had been found behind ABC Scrapyard in Carletonville’s new industrial area.
The police rushed to the scene and found the body of an African woman tied to a tree. The woman, whose body was already badly decomposed, was bound to the tree with cloths tied to her legs, hands and neck. Her body was facing downwards.
The deceased was wearing a brown skirt with white stripes, white Adidas sports shoes and a grey tracksuit top.
As the body was so badly decomposed, the police could not say what injuries she had sustained before her death.
As far as could be determined, the woman’s husband had already reported her missing as early as 10 August.
Anyone with information that can assist the police can contact the investigating officer, Sgt Jacques Nagel, at 082 880 4611.
