Murdered in cold blood

shocked Ms Agnes Nomandla stands next to the spot where her nephew's body was found.

According to the communication officer of the police in Khutsong, Captain Eddie Boboko, a passerby notified the police on Monday morning at around 07:25 of someone who had been stabbed in the open veld next to Khutsong Extension 3.
“On the police’s arrival at the scene a male was found lying on his back with multiple stab wound injuries to his upper body. He was declared dead on the scene by paramedics,” Boboko told the Herald. The victim was later identified as Mr. Sipho Nomandla (36).
“I was at work when my family called me and told me that my uncle was found stabbed here in the veld. As it happened some time during the night, no one was around to see what had happened,” the nephew of the deceased, Mr Anele Nomandla, told the Herald while his grandmother, the deceased’s aunt, Ms Agnes Nomandla, and her sister, the mother of the deceased, Ms Agnes Nomandla, looked on. According to Boboko, Khutsong detectives are still investigating the motive of the murder and do not believe that it was related to gangsterism.
“The suspects are still at large. The station commander of the Khutsong SAPS, Col Melinda Prinsloo, visited the scene and requested the community to assist with information that will lead to the arrest of the suspects. She also advised the public to use safe routes rather than walking through the open veld where it is not safe. Information can be shared on t071 675 7189, 071 675 7384 or 08600 10111,” Boboko told the Herald.
