Robbers pull trigger at mother’s head in Diamond Street

According to WO Peter Masooa of the police in Carletonville, they were walking past Edura when the incident happened at around 20:00 on Sunday, 28 October. Suddenly, a Renault Megane coupé drove past them and stopped.
One of the three men inside jumped out and ran up to them. He pushed a revolver against the woman’s temple and demanded all their possessions.
When the victims said they only had cigarettes and their gate remote with them, he pulled the trigger. Luckily, he fired a blank.
‘Run, Mommy, run,’ shouted her son as they ran from their assailants as fast as they could.
On their way home, the woman felt her leg burning. When she removed her boot, she realised they had shot her in the foot.
